Is There a Way to Get a Specific Seat on a Walt Disney World Ride?
Yes! Request them! You can request any seat you want with the cast member working the ride. They may ask you to wait for the next round of boarding, and at times they may not be able to accommodate at all, but it never hurts to ask!
My recommendations on what seats to request:
Guardians of the Galaxy - Row 9. This ride launches backwards and later spins you around. Row 9 quickly becomes the front row where you'll see the most action.
Soarin' Around the World - Section B, Row 2. This lets you see the screen without distortion and gets other people's feet out of your face!
Space Mountain - Back Row. Feels faster back there for some reason!
Tiana's - Back Row. This keeps you from getting less wet! However, if you're looking to get soaked, ask for the front!
Kilimanjaro Safaris - Sit on the left of the tram! You'll have a better view.
Expedition Everest - Front row! You'll have the best view at the peak.
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run - Be one of the first 2 in your group of 6. This will assign you the job of pilot!
Slinky Dog Dash - Farther Back. The front has a blocked view because of Slinky's head.
Tron - This isn’t a recommendation for all, but it can really help some that either can’t or don’t want to ride in the lightcycle seats. There “regular” seat at the back that won’t require you to strap into the lightcycle in a way that is either unaccessible or uncomfortable to come guests. This can also be a great option for kids who might find the lightcycles a little too frightening.
