How do I Turn my Smart Watch into a Disney Magic Band?

If you’re going to the Disney Parks, and don’t want to wear both your everyday smart watch AND a magic band, here are two ways to combine them into one!

Option 1:

If you have a smart watch with some kind of digital wallet, (this can be Google, Samsung, Apple, etc) you can add your park tickets to that digital wallet and then scan into Disney with your smart watch! This can save you money on magic bands and will get ride of the need to have two separate bands on your wrist.

HOW TO DO THIS:
1) Download the Disney World app and set up your My Disney Experience account.
2) Link your park tickets to your account.
3) Add your park tickets to your digital wallet.
And that's it!! After that you can scan into the park entrances and any lightning lanes or DAS returns with your smart watch.

CONS OF OPTION 1:
1) This will not get you into your resort room like a Magic Band will. It cannot be a hotel key.
2) While you can of course pay for things with your digital wallet, it won't charge it back to your room like Magic Bands do. This is good for some people as you can more easily track spending, but it's bad for those that want to earn travel credit card points by buying things in the parks.

Option 2

Purchase this watch adapter and attach the middle puck of your Magic Band to almost any watch band. With this, you don't have to own a smart watch or wear two different watch bands at the same time. Plus, you get all the functionality of a Magic Band, including room key, charging to the room, and the interactions with statues/fireworks..

CONS OF OPTION 2
1) You still have to own a Magic Band, and buy an adapter, so this is not a money saving option.
